I Must say the manual is very easy to understand, although I didnt read it for the first 6 months I owned the camera, right out of the box it took great photos but for the more technically advanced, there are many menus that allow you to tweak the settings for different conditions. The ability to comfortably slip it into a shirt pocket more than makes up for any lack of flash power. I guess Im going to have to think of a gripe before people think I work for Sony (I dont!) so I will mention the flash isnt the most powerful, you will want to be within a few feet of your subject when taking photos at night, but that is a minor trade off considering the ultra compact size.

The available accesories is a huge bonus, the underwater enclosure has been a blast at p ool parties It is really neat to take underwater video!!! Every button and feature of the camera is accessible through the hard clear plastic case, not a drop leaks in, Ive even used it in the ocean surfing! Another great feature is the USB cradle, gone are the days of constantly buying batteries or swapping out the rechargeables, The T1 has a docking cradle, after a day of taking pictures set it on its cradle and the camera is ready to download the photos while simultaneously recharging the camera'a internal battery, You never need to consciously think about the battery, I own a spare battery and spare memory cards but never have needed it, the battery life photo storage is awesome, Ive taken literally hundreds of photos at weddings and not used up half the battery or available memory.The huge screen makes sharing the photos and video so fun, its like a TV screen, absolutely huge compared to other cameras Ive used. This is and extremely advanced amazing high quality digital camera that is literally the size of a pack of smokes, even a bit thinner! I bought my T1 after 3 years with an older Sony Cybershot, a camera that had been dropped and stepped on, splashed, and stuffed into my pocket without a case so many times and still takes perfect pictures today, but when I saw how thin the T1 was I just had to have it, and bought one off ebay complete with lots of accesories and a huge memory chip for less then retail. The best camera is one you have on you ready to take that spur of the moment, impromptu shot that always seems to beat out the planned "Ok now everybody smile" shot in your photo album or picture frame. Buy This Camera Because you will take it everywhere!!!
